A new study suggests
NEW YORK - According to Australian researchers if diabetes is treated aggressively, it can be the guarantee to put off heart problems and deaths better than standard treatment that is used to lower blood sugar.
It was the second large study (as thousands of patients were involved in it) that showed no heart benefit from significantly decreasing blood sugar levels of the diabetics. Experts opined that doctors must follow the suggested aimed levels.
Almost two-third of diabetics die of heart disease. The researchers attempted to push down blood sugar to usual levels to notice whether it protected the hearts of high-risk patients with Type 2 diabetes or not.
