Jan, they don't seem to have white centers...they are mostly quite small and sometimes are not really there at all, but is more like an area of patchy dry pinkish skin. Then when that area gets hot or irritated by rubbing clothing, the bumps seem to raise up and get itchier. Baths in baking soda, compresses of grapefruit seed extract and a chinese itch cream called 999 all seem to help (bumps go down but patchy dry skin remains).

To marniejean.

Do any of those bumps have white centres?

Are they solid bumps or look like small, raised, pinkish swelling islands - I'm talking about bumpy hives.

I have groupings of small itchy bumps on my back. It started on my right shoulder blade and now is up most of my spine and across my hips. It seems to worsen & itch more, and the bumps get a little larger when I am hot or sweaty or in a hot shower. They have been there for about 45 days now and the patches seem to be spreading. The bumps are not really red, but more like small pimples, but lots of them in an area grouped together. I am under a lot of stress and noticed a similar thing last spring when I had the flu, but that went away. Any ideas?

Hello, my name is Paige and when i was 19 years old i began to see a rash appear all over my body that looked like red bumpy veigns and over the length of 4 days it became and itchy horrible feeling that i couldnt control i tried so many products after the third day because it got so bad, it was like my entire body itched all over and i didnt have enough hands to scratch everywhere.i went to the doctor and was soon after diagnosed with epstein-barr virus.he gave me two different pills to take and although i didnt understand the herpes//mono relation, i took the pills and it made me feel better and the rash went away as well as the itchness....does anyone know how this could have possibly occurred and what the relation is?
