Some of the common problems or complications that may occur during pregnancy are as under.

Abdominal Pain

Abdominal PainDuring pregnancy, abdominal pain can occur because of several causes. More often pregnant women have twinges and tightening feelings in the abdomen   as the area begins to expand to hold the growing baby. However, it must not be very painful and a woman can also feel little bit uncomfortable when the baby moves around or kicks.

Back pain

Almost every pregnant woman has to experience back pain during the second or third trimester. Usually, backaches or back pains occur because of the poor posture. This pain can be worse in the women who gain more than the recommended amount of weight. The baby presses your spine and besides weight it’s another cause of the back pain.

Constipation

Most of the women have to experience constipation during pregnancy. Actually, during pregnancy the body begins to absorb more fluids that make stools harder. Similarly, different pregnancy hormones relax the intestinal walls and the stool doesn’t move quickly. In the third trimester, the baby can be the cause to press the intestinal tract and thus, intestinal movement becomes difficult. Constipation can also be a side effect of iron pills that women usually take during pregnancy.

Breast Tenderness

Change in breasts is one of the first things that are noticed in pregnancy. The nipple areas get darken and the breasts begin to grow and become tender.

Groin Pain

During the end of the third trimester when the woman’s body prepares for labor, pelvic joints get soft so that the baby may pass through them with ease. But it becomes quite difficult for women to stand for long period of time and particularly in one position. The only existing cure to get rid of this pain is delivering the baby.

Dizziness

Dizziness can occur because of several causes like anemia, high blood sugar, low blood sugar and low blood pressure. You can get rid of dizziness if you know the cause of it and take balanced diet accordingly.

Tiredness

Most of the women feel tired during the first trimester. When the baby adjusts itself to important changes, it may increase fatigue. This fatigue particularly increases when you have to care your other children. However, this fatigue improves in the second trimester.

Heartburn

Heartburn often becomes worst in the third trimester, but they can also occur earlier. Heartburn feels like a burning sensation in the esophagus. It occurs when stomach acid surges back up into your esophagus.

Aside from above noted complications, headaches, Hemorrhoids, Leg Cramps, Linea Nigra ,  Morning Sickness ,Nasal Congestion, Nipples Darken, Shortness of Breath ,Stretch Marks ,Swelling ,Vaginal Discharge , Varicose Veins  and Vision Changes are some other complications that may occur during pregnancy.
