If you are not a smoker, you probably avoided cigarettes for a reason, and that very same reason should drive you to take caution and reduce your sugar intake.
Start taking note of the labels that come with your food to gauge your sugar intake. You should not be eating more than 40 grams of processed sugar each day if you’re on the normal 2,000 calorie diet. Chances are that you do not even monitor your calorie intake, and you should start doing that as well, since it also has factors that can determine your overall health but this is a topic for another day.
The reason for the rise in occurrence of the terrible ailments such as cancer and other infectious diseases is none other than sugar. In the short term, it may seem like nothing – but add up the figures and you will realize how much of a sugar addict you are. Everyone nowadays eats too much of the substance that we have grown accustomed to, and many would rather live in their own ignorant world – but I urge you to go one step ahead if you wish to have a longer, healthier and more fulfilling life.
