Nodulocystic acne or cystic acne is an intense kind of acne in which acne begins to develop into tiny cysts.Acne cysts are not true cysts in the sense that they are not irregular expanding of the skin structure but are nodule of inflammation instead. It is rare than other kinds of acne but it is not very uncommon and frequently found between the teens and adults.
Cystic acne usually occurs due to the blockage of a skin pore. The blockage takes place because of increased sebum or skin dead cells that fail to exit from hair follicle through the skin pore.Sebum is naturally found fatty oil that proves helpful to moisture the skin and hair and it is also essential for the skin and hair as without sebum hair gets thin and brittle.Skin also gets dry and hard.
Our body continuously replaces its skin and sometimes the dead skin cells do not exit properly from the skin and create a blockage in the skin pores. This blockage causes whiteheads, blackheads, pimples and swelling.
