International Drug Discovery Institute (IDDI), a new non-profit international institute came in to the existence recently with an announcement of a group of leading drug researchers. This newly established international institute aims to fight certain global issues concerning “Tuberculosis (TB), Malaria, and HIV/AIDS”. The institute plans to attract many of the extremely talented professionals, scientists, activists, and drug researchers from the established and renowned research laboratories around the world.
People living in the developing countries are facing complete exposure to the epidemic diseases like ‘Tuberculosis (TB)’, ‘Malaria’, and ‘HIV/AIDS’. There are no new or affordable cures available to these large populations. There exists a big gap in the commercial drug development sector and the need of cures. The IDDI expects to develop some innovative concepts to deal with the problem. New strategies and models would help crossing the potential barriers hampering the process of developing new therapeutic formulations aiming to fight and cure diseases like malaria and tuberculosis.
