“Eye Blinking” normally happens whenever there is any stimulation, audio or accompanied by an unconditioned stimulus which leads to eye blink. However it may be a result of a facial irregularity may have been resulted due to exposure to alcohol in the prenatal stage.
So this facial irregularity not only offers new insight into the field of alcoholism, they may help to provide an important clue in identifying children who are prenatally exposed to alcohol. However not all the children share the same symptoms with ‘Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS)’.
The children, who are exposed to alcohol consumption when they are in fetus, develop certain identifiable craniofacial abnormalities and eye blinking is also one of them, so they may help in identifying such children, especially those who lack any other kind of distinguishing FAS features.
