To compare different approaches to weight loss many some U.S. researchers who were working on a study found that weight reduction could be doubled if a food diary was kept. According to these researchers, the participants lost more weight if they had more and proper food records.
The researchers from Kaiser Permanente’s Center for Health Research conducted the study and it will be published in the American Journal of Prevention Medicine’s August issue.
The study has been considered as one of the biggest and longest running weight loss preservation trials ever made, the researchers told in a press statement. It is also somewhat unique that most of the participants of the study (almost 44 %) were blacks and had increased risks for diseases like cardiovascular problems, diabetes and many others that becomes worse because of obesity.
